It'll be a game of numbers as the Lobos take to the field Monday for the start of spring football.

With more than 160 players expecting to report, Lobo head coach John King and his staff will be busy putting the pieces together once the Lobos take the field.

The Dallas Cowboys are exploring options to move a December home game against the New York Jets, helping Texas keep its public school football championships at AT&T Stadium, but the power of the NFL could prove otherwise.
“It’s a Saturday game on national TV in prime time,” said Justin White, the executive sales manager at NRG Park, which includes NRG Stadium, one of the possible locations to host the games should they move.
“I doubt seriously they’re going to move it. Now, I’m not the one making that decision, but I don’t think they’ll move it.”
